Abstract: The field of somatostatin receptor imaging (SRI) has made considerable strides in the past few years. Depreotide,a recently developed somatostatin analogue (SSA), has become a hot topic of SRI studies. It plays an important role in the course of diagnosis and differentiation of solitary pulmonary nodules (SPN). Furthermore, it lias much applicative potentials in breast cancer, thyroid carcinoma, lymphoma,thyroid associated ophthalmopathy (TAO), and so on.
