Abstract: This study reviews the improvement and the clinical role of new and more sensitive methods for measure-ments of serum thyrotropin (TSH).It's very important that laboratories should independently establish and periodically check their methodological indices of sensitivity with which to evaluate different methods and to improve their correlation with clinical performance.
