Abstract: Survivin is a intracellular protein that belongs to the inhibitor of apoptosis gene family.Survivin is mostly expressed in fet al tissues and many cancer cell lines,but it is not detected in normal adult tissuses ex-pect for the thymus and testis.It is important to study the molecular mechanisms of surviving both in apopto-sisand and cell division.Furthermore,surviving would be a potential new target for the cancer therapy.
