Abstract: There is growing concern regarding the radiation dose delivered during interventional procedures, particularly in view of the increasing frequency and complexity of these techniques. Studies have focused on three fields:the radiation dose levels currently encountered in interventional procedures, the consequent risk to operators and patients and protection methods.
