Abstract: Image fusion is a research focus of medicalimage processing. Proper registrations were desired in clinical diagnoses and therapy to obtain complementary information from multi-modality images. Three key techniques,transformation, matching and information acquirement, were introduced. Different regular matching methods, es-pecially various algorithms of intrinsic method, were overviewed and compared. The development trend of regis-tration was also previewed.
