Abstract: Interleukin-24 (11-24) is a member of interleukin-10 family. Besides its character as a cytokine, IL-24 could induce apoptosis of different kinds of tumor cells without any harmful effects to normal cells. IL-24 could both promote bystander anti-tumor effect,inhibit tumor growth and angiogenesis in animal models. It also has effects of radiosensitization and immunoregulation.
