Abstract: ¹¹C-choline is a newly developed positron tumor positive imaging agent. In the imaging the T/N (tumor/normal) value is higher than that of ¹⁸F-FDG and superior than ¹⁸F-FDG especially in brain tumor and prostate cancer detection. ¹¹C-choline and ¹⁸F-FDG showed different value in the detection of brain tumor, lung cancer, esophagus cancer and prostate cancer. Their accumulation mechanism and imaging modality was different too. Besides ¹¹C-choline, ¹⁸F-fluorocholine was also introduced, its clinical value need more study to prove.
