The regulating mechanism of p53 during cell cycle arrest and apoptosis

  • 摘要: p53作为抑癌基因,在各种应激情况下(包括电离辐射所致DNA损伤、核苷酸缺失、低氧或癌基因激活)调控细胞周期进程和细胞凋亡过程。本文综述了p53及其下游分子在细胞周期和细胞凋亡中的作用,在此基础上探讨p53在选择细胞周期阻滞和细胞凋亡中的影响因素。

     

    Abstract: p53,acting as a tumour suppressor gene,regulates the system of cell cycle and apoptosis when cells confront a variety of stress including DNA damage responding to ionizing radiation,nucleotide depletion,hypoxia or oncogene activation. In this article,the role and targets of p53 during cell cycle and apoptosis are reviewed. On the basis of it,we question factors of the decision to undergo growth arrest versus apoptosis in response to p53 expression.
