Abstract: PET-CT realized the image fusion of PET and CT in one single machine. But some technical reasons such as X-ray-based attenuation correction and nonsimuhaneous acquisition between PET and CT lead to some PET-CT artifacts which interrupt the image interpretation and may cause false-positive or falsenegative diagnosis. This review will talk about these artifacts, analyze the causes and discuss the possible preventive measures.
