Abstract: ¹²³I-epidepride, ¹²³I-(s)-N-(1-ethyl-2-pyrrolidinyl) methyl-5-iodo-2, 3-dimethoxybenzamide,is a potent imaging agent for SPECT of dopamine D₂ receptor. With high affinity (K_d=24pmol/L) and relatively low lipophilicity (lgK_w=2.05), it's suitable for imaging in striated and extrastriated. In addition, it has high value in imaging of dopamine D₂ receptors in pituitary adenoma, and it can serve as a predictor for response to dopamine agonist treatment.
