Abstract: Hashimoto's thyroiditis is a common autoimmune thyroid disease, and thyroid carcinoma is the most common endocrine malignancy. Moreover, papillary thyroid carcinoma is the most prevalent manifestation in patients with thyroid carcinoma. Recently, the prevalence of Hashimoto's thyroiditis coexisting with papillary thyroid carcinoma has increased, and the related pathogenesis and prognosis have become the focus of research and debate. This review focused on the research progress into epidemiological characteristics, histopathology features, pathogenesis, and prognosis-related factors of Hashimoto's thyroiditis coexisting with papillary thyroid carcinoma.
