Abstract:
Objective To explore the clinical value of imaging techniques in the diagnosis of typical and atypical acute appendicitis.
Methods Analyzed the performance of imaging examination of the 40 patients with typical and atypical acute appendicitis confirmed by operation and pathology retrospectively.
Results Among the 20 patients with atypical acute appendicitis, 17 cases were diagnosed as having ultrasonography and 18 cases were diagnosed as having CT examination. And among the other 20 patients with typical acute appendicitis, 14 cases were diagnosed by ultrasonography and 16 cases were diagnosed by CT examination.
Conclusion For the atypical clinical symptoms in patients with acute appendicitis, timely and accurate imaging technology should be taken to achieve early diagnosis and treatment. For the typical acute appendicitis, imaging diagnoses were not necessarily, so as not to delay the operation time or cause complications.
