Abstract: Nuclear energy brings human tremendous interest and potential nuclear threat as well. As one of the simplest radioanalytical procedures, gross α and gross β radioactivity measurement has been widely applied in the field of environmental monitoring and industrial applications. This paper introduced the common methods that used for measuring gross α and gross β radioactivity in water and compared their advantages and disadvantages briefly.
