Abstract: Standardized quality assurance and quality control hold significant value in the daily operations and clinical applications of adult dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) bone densitometry. However, the implementation of this technology in clinical practice in China is not standardized due to the lack of guidelines on quality assurance and quality control for DXA bone densitometry in China. This expert consensus introduces the preparations before DXA bone densitometry operations, collection and analysis of scanning data, follow-up, basic elements of report, quality control, and quality certification and so on. This work could contribute to further standardize and promote the application of this technology and provide references and guiding opinions for improving the quality control level of bone density measurement equipment and standardizing their clinical use in China.
