Advance of apoptosis imaging with ⁹⁹Tc^m labeled Annexin V

Abstract

Phosphatidyl serine exposures on the outer leaflet of the plasma membrane lipid bilayer at the beginning of apoptosis, ⁹⁹Tc^m-labeled Annexin V is used to image in vivo the phosphatidyl serine that explode on the outer surface of cell membrane after apoptosis so that apoptosis can be detected on the early stage.
