Prognostics analysis of common radiotherapy combined stereotactic radiotherapy for non-small cell lung cancer of old patients

  • Objective To observe the effect of stereotactic radiotherapy (SRT) for non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC) of old patients. Method 128 NSCLC old patients receive common radiotherapy and SRT. The results was followed. Results 1-year survival rate is 65.72% for all patients on univariate analysis radiation dose, tumor volume, Karnofsky performance status (KPS) are significantly associated with first follow-up response(FFR). On multivariate analysis only the first two are significant. Prognostic factors of survival time are FFR, tumor dose and clinical stage. Conclusions SRT can significantly raise survival time expecially for phase Ⅲ patients. The dose 72 Gy for NSCLC old patients is safe.
