The application of gated SPECT in myocardial perfusion imaging

  • Gated-SPECT not only can reduce the image blur caused by beating, but also can improve thesensitivity and specificity of diagnosis of myocardial ischemia. If fourier transform and image edge detect technology is used, we can get more information of myocardium perfusion, myocardium viability, wall motion, eject function, and the harmony of contraction. Due to the advantage of quantification, more and more attention has been taken to the application of gated SPECT in myocardial perfusion imaging. We reviewed the clinical application of gated SPECT in myocardial perfusion in the last few years.
