The application of PET-CT in ovarian cancer

Ovarian cancer is the leading cause of death among women with gynecologic malignancies, ¹⁸F-fluorodeoxyglucose (¹⁸SF-FDG) positron emission tomography (PET) is a well-established method for detecting, staging, cancer recurrence and therapeutic response and prognosis of ovarian cancer. PET-CT is helpful for the surgry guide and second-look laparotomy. Specific radiolabel pharmacies to ovarian cancer such as ¹²⁴I-C6.5 diabody has been successfully imaged in animal with PET-CT.
