Current study of intravascular brachytherapy preventing restenosis after interventional therapy
-
Abstract
Restenosis after angioplasty influences the long-dated surgical effect. Intravascular brachy-radiotherapy can effectively inhibit neointima proliferation and induce cell apoptosis. At the same time it may contribute to positive remodeling and a larger vessel perimeter. Many results of clinical trials proved that brachytherapy was effective, safe and feasible for clinical use. It is a great success of interventional cardiology.
