Comparison of the diagnostic sensitivity of low-field magnetic resonance diffusion weighted imaging technology and conventional MRI scanning for super acute cerebral infarction

  • Objective To investigate the differences in the diagnostic values of low-field magnetic resonance diffusion weighted imaging(DWI) technology and conventional MRI scanning for super acute cerebral infarction.
Methods A total of 78 suspected cases of cerebral ischemia were clinically treated in Guangdong Taishan People's Hospital between April 2014 and July 2015. These cases were examined using low-field magnetic resonance DWI and conventional MRI scanning technology, which are two kinds of inspection technologies for super acute cerebral infarction diagnostic sensitivity.
Results The diagnostic sensitivity of the low-field magnetic resonance DWI(100.00%, 72/72) was significantly higher than that of conventional MRI(5.56%, 4/72).
Conclusions Low-field magnetic DWI technology can effectively improve diagnostic sensitivity in the diagnosis of super acute cerebral infarction and can produce a significantly better effect than the conventional MRI scan. Therefore, this tool is worth popularizing in clinical use.
