Abstract
123I-meta-iodobenzylguanidine (123I-MIBG) is a norepinephrine analog that can specifically bind to norepinephrine transporter and can be used for SPECT imaging of neuroendocrine tumors, SPECT imaging of cardiac sympathetic nerves and head imaging of Parkinson′s disease. However, the shortcomings of 123I-MIBG limit its clinical application. Several research results from domestic and foreign researchers have shown that 18F-meta-fluorobenzidine (18F-MFBG) is the most promising imaging agent to replace 123I-MIBG. The author reviews the progress in the preparation and clinical application of 18F-MFBG.
