⁹⁹Tc^m-MDP whole-body bone imaging in the treatment of osteitis deformans with denosumab: a case report

The authors report a case of osteitis deformans, also known as Paget′s disease of bone (PDB), in a patient who showed significant therapeutic efficacy after two years of denosumab treatment. To date, no domestic literature has reported the same treatment regimen. Bone scintigraphy, as a non-invasive diagnostic method, demonstrates unique advantages in diagnosing and assessing the extent of PDB lesions, as well as in monitoring therapeutic outcomes. The authors conducted a analysis of the patient′s imaging data and laboratory test results, supplemented by a literature review, aiming to enhance clinicians′ understanding of this disease.
