Sclerosing angiomatoid nodular transformation of the spleen in ¹⁸F-FDG PET/CT: two cases report

Sclerosing angiomatoid nodular transformation (SANT) of spleen is a rare benign proliferative vascular lesion, histopathology is the "gold standard" for diagnosis. The author reported two cases of splenic SANT with ¹⁸F-fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) PET/CT imaging, and analyzed the clinical, histopathological, therapeutic, and ¹⁸F-FDG PET/CT imaging aspects of the disease and deepened the understanding of this disease through literature review. A full understanding of the diagnostic criteria and imaging manifestations of SANT can help to obtain more information and make an accurate diagnosis.
