Application of new ultrasonic technology in the diagnosis of thyroid nodule

  • At present, the incidence rate of thyroid nodules is rising, and the treatment and prognosis of benign and malignant nodules are greatly different. Therefore, the early and accurate qualitative diagnosis of thyroid nodules is of great value to the treatment and prognosis of patients. Ultrasound is now the first choice for imaging examination of thyroid nodules due to its low cost, non-invasivity, high repeatability, and rapid diagnosis. In recent years, a number of new ultrasonic technologies have emerged, which have certain supplementary value to the limitations of conventional ultrasound imaging. Conventional thyroid ultrasound combined with various thyroid ultrasound examination techniques can be more accurate in determining thyroid nodules, which can guide the clinical development of precise individual treatment. In this study, the application progress of ultrasonic diagnosis of thyroid nodule is reviewed.
