  • The evaluation of myocardial viability has become an important aspect of the diagnostic and prognostic work-up patients with ischemic cardiomypathy.Clinical studies have shown that 18F-FDG SPECT can accurately invested patients with viable myocardium. Some studies have compared 18F-FDG SPECT and FDG PET and reported a good agreement for the assessment of myocardial viability between these two techniques.
