Abstract:
Objective To investigate the differences in patient experience and nursing quality control between patients undergoing drug-stress myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI) with 99Tcm-methoxyisobutylisonitrile (MIBI) and 99Tcm-tetrofosmin (TF) under a standardized nursing protocol.
Methods This retrospective cohort study included 42 patients who underwent drug-stress MPI with 99Tcm-MIBI or 99Tcm-TF at Zhongshan Hospital, Fudan University, from January to May 2026. The patients were divided into an MIBI group (n=21, 11 males and 10 females, age (59.8±12.3) years) and a TF group (n=21, 17 males and 4 females, age (58.4±8.9) years). The post-injection waiting time, satisfaction scores across different dimensions, anxiety status, and nursing quality control scores of the two groups were compared. The Mann-Whitney U test was used for between-group comparisons of measurement data that did not conform to a normal distribution.
Results All patients successfully completed MPI. The post-injection waiting time in the TF group was shorter than that in the MIBI group (Z=−5.551, P<0.001). The TF group′s had higher scores than the MIBI group for convenience of pre-examination preparation, appropriateness of post-injection waiting time, comfort of the examination environment, clarity of post-examination health guidance, convenience of the overall examination process, and overall service satisfaction (Z=2.265–4.457, all P<0.05). The scores for all anxiety-related dimensions in the TF group were lower than those in the MIBI group (Z=−2.721 to −1.993, all P<0.05). The TF group's scores for health education, patient assessment and preparation, radiation protection, and health guidance were also higher than those of the MIBI group (Z=2.096–4.288, all P<0.05).
Conclusion Compared with the MIBI group, the TF group had shorter waiting time, reduced anxiety, and improved patient experience while facilitating the optimization of the nursing workflow and improvement of nursing quality control, which shows good value for clinical promotion.
