Abstract:
As a multimodal imaging technique that integrates the advantages of molecular functional imaging and high-resolution anatomical imaging, PET/MRI, when combined with artificial intelligence (AI) and radiomics, has opened new avenues for precision diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer (PCa). The authors review the progress in technical optimization and clinical research on AI and radiomics in prostate PET/MRI. The application of AI can improve the image quality of PET/MRI; through multimodal data fusion, AI combined with radiomics can enable the accurate localization and identification of PCa and the assessment of its biological behavior, and can provide support for individualized treatment decision-making. Nevertheless, current studies still face challenges in data standardization, model generalizability, and interpretability. In the future, multicenter collaboration and algorithmic innovation are expected to further promote technological translation and provide a solid theoretical basis and technical support for establishing a precision diagnosis and treatment system for PCa.
