Abstract:
Nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) is a highly malignant tumor with unique biological behavioral characteristics. Accurate staging of patients with NPC is a crucial step in the diagnosis and treatment of this disease. PET/CT is a positive imaging modality that offers an advantage of whole-body imaging and serves as an important imaging method for the diagnosis, staging, and treatment response assessment in NPC. In recent years, the clinical application of various novel PET/CT imaging molecular molecular probes has provided additional biological information for the diagnosis and research of NPC. The authors reviewed the application of multiple novel PET/CT imaging probes in the diagnosis and staging of NPC, aiming to summarize the recent advances in the application of PET/CT imaging for NPC.
